When Gary contacted Smartgrid he wanted a system that would bring his bills down to zero. He also wanted blackout protection due to frequent blackouts in the area. He didn't like the idea of panels on his house so the solution was a ground mount system next to the house. The resulting install is shown in the photograph and Gary couldn't be happier with the result. This system was a Hybrid Sungrow 10kVA with 19.2kWh of storage and 13.2kW of solar. The photograph shows the original install when only four batteries were installed. Gary subsequently requested an additional two batteries to end up with the 19.2kWh.

It came as a shock to this customer when it was discovered that the land developer had not arranged for any electricity distribution to be installed and the quotation for a cable from the nearest Energex pillar was almost $100,000. Luckily this qualified for the federal battery rebate scheme and we installed a three phase, 25kW inverter with 51kWh of LifePo4 battery storage for a fraction of the price. Now the three phase air con and the dual water heaters are no longer a problem
